Situated in the transition between the Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains this home & retreat center lays on a rocky cliff edge surrounded by forest. The design for this entry garden took inspiration from the little bluestem, sweet fern, and antennaria already growing on the site. The dry and scrubby conditions led to an ambient plant palette which blends the entry in to the surrounding landscape. As the garden fills in, the new plug plantings will continue to grow and create a dense community.
